Derek Gehl: Though originally thought to be an internet marketing icon, Derek Gehl appears to have disappeared from major main stream internet marketing talk despite his ownership or interest in TheInternetMarketingCenter.com, MarketingTips.com and InternetMarketing.com. All three of these websites contain the same copy which stated that they have helped people earn money online since 1996. Many of his most recent articles are dated back to 2007. His Wikipedia page is nothing but a short blurb which links to a 2007 Entrepreneur magazine article submission. MarketingTips.com contains articles through 2009, but nothing for 2010.

Notice! We have spent a tremendous amount time and money reviewing a variety of online business opportunities. Infomercial gurus on TV, Internet marketing experts or a MLM company, we've taken a hard look at just about all of them. It's through our conscientious research of hundreds of opportunities that allow us to determine for sure what works and what doesn't. If you want to discover what is making us an excellent home-based income, then click here now to check out our #1 rated online opportunity.

All three of Derek’s sites make little reference to social media, the hottest tool for internet marketing these days. They do not include any links to any of his social media accounts like most internet marketers sites do. Searches on popular social networks for Derek Gehl revealed a few fan created pages that have a dozen or so fans, but nowhere near the number of fans that the world’s original internet marketer would expect to have.

In conclusion, Derek Gehl may have been one of the original internet marketers, but it appears that the tools, eBooks and other recommendations he makes on one of his many sites are now outdated. He has stopped using the most popular internet marketing tools and does not appear to be publishing any form of unique content or making social media updates for his fans, followers or program users.
